About Me

Simple, healthy meals excite me. I am Sarah, a veg lover, married to a carnivore, and I'm also very busy with work and life. So simple meal ideas get top space in my mind and kitchen. In addition, since moving to Hong Kong and Singapore I have to cook in a tiny kitchen!

I'm a mathematics teacher by day and a foodie by night. This blog is a way to share food and meal ideas to help make all of our lives easier. Please let me know with a comment if there is anything you would like to see featured. I am keen to answer reader questions and take suggestions.

If you've tried one of my recipes, please share! If you've taken a picture, please email it or send me the link; I would love to link to your blog and credit the photo to you.

Thank you for sharing the light box trick. It's tough to take good shots in this light for my blog and far too cold to keep heading down to the beach! Lovely recipes.

Hi Sarah,

I live in HK too. (Tsuen Wan)
Hi Sarah,

I'm originally from HK. Cool that you live there!

I love reading your food blog recipes, especially the broccoli corn bread!. I started a web startup to connect beginner and intermediate cooks with simple and healthy recipes like yours. And I’m wondering if you would be interested in having your content showcased on our site, with links back to yours. We’re still in private beta so you will be one of the early partners. We have two blogger partners so far, Macheesmo, and OperaGirlCooks. Are you interested?

Thanks!

hi ms sarah. just saw your blog. i want to be a food blogger myself and it gives me the encouragement to pursue it.. i would appreciate if you can give me some tips
Hi Sarah,

I found your blog because you left a comment on my blog for my Rainbow Zucchini Pasta recipe. How fortunate you did or I wouldn't have discovered you. I may be vegan but I still love your blog and have found lots of recipes to try..the cauliflower soup for starters! You have a conversational writing style that I love and your recipes are adventurous (like you I guess…living in Hong Kong!). So I have signed up and am so happy to have come across your blog. You made my day with your comment about my recipe yesterday. I was travelling back on the train, tired after a day taking my mother around the sights of London….a gruesome 19th Century operating theatre and a lively food market before warming my belly with dosa at the best vegan Indian in London. Anyway, I was looking at your comment on my iPhone and the train jolted and I hit delete instead of publish. Eek! Would you like to comment on it again? I promise I won't delete it this time!! http://aveganobsession.blogspot.co.uk/2012/10/rai... xxx
