8 Strange Potato Chip Flavours That You Might Not Want to Eat

I have been travelling in Bali recently. (More about that in another post, including the Balinese cooking class we went on!) In Asia I have learned that the flavours people consider normal in snack foods vary around the world. For your pleasure, I have been snapping with my phone in grocery stores when I see unusual flavours!

I have to be truthful. I didn't try any of these flavours. And I'm not too sure I want to. When I am away from Canada for a long time I crave dill pickle potato chips, but in the UK people thought I was strange. What about you?

What is the weirdest snack flavour you enjoy?

Really? OK, maybe with salsa....
What an interesting post! I have never been to Asia but it's definitely on our list....somneday (sigh) I love chips in any flavor!! But, not so sure about Italian Meat Flavored??
Italian Red Meat?! Wow, that sounds truly horrible. And Blueberry potato chips? They don't sound quite as horrible, but definitely strange. I think I'd try them once. :)
Hi, having lived in Indonesia for a couple of years you get to like Salmon Teriyaki and Seaweed crips [chips] . But I still miss the classic 'Salt & Vinegar' or 'Cheees and Onion'.

As for weird flavours we used to be able to get Hedgehog flavoured in the UK some time ago. Not sure how authentic they were as I have never tried a hedgehog before.
It would be interesting to find out if Jeff liked any of these. I've started eating baked chips ( very many fewer calories) and find that I enjoy them a lot - they don't come in any of these flavors but that's alright.

We recently had Beer flavoured crisps over here in Germany, and "Döner mit Alles" which translates to "doner kebab with everything" ... everything being onions and tzatziki, I guess. Haven't tried either, but I did try crackling fat flavoured crisps in Austria ... we all agreed they tasted like traditional Bavarian pork roast with gravy.

Of the flavours above, I find Blueberry very strange. I'm quite adventurous when it comes to stuff like that, but fruit-flavoured crisps...?
I like lime crisps!
You should come to Australia – we have the best flavors of chips ever! My favorite is chicken – it’s not butter chicken like the chips in Canada, just very salty crinkled chicken chips. LOVE them so much!! Funny though how the same flavor can taste different in different countries – I don’t know if you’ve noticed that too
